What: This assessment measures a student's literacy skills. Who: This is geared to students in grades K-6.

When: You would use this when you want to determine a student's fluency in letter name, segmentation, nonsense words, and oral reading. You would also use this at least twice a year to monitor growth.

Instructions: Give student grade level materials. Each task is timed for 1 minute.

When making final comments, include information about response patterns as well as percentages for each task.
