Peabody Picture Vocabulary Test -4 (PPVT-4)

What: This test is a picture vocabulary test that evaulates comprehension of the spoken word in standard English.

Who: This test is for individuals ages 2 years 6 months to 90+.

When: You would use this when you want to learn about a student's exposure to vocabulary.

Instructions: Determine student's chronological age to determine starting point. Use training page to ask student to identify a picture to match the vocabulary word you say. If student can identify those pictures correctly, move forward with the assessment.

Ask student to identfiy pictures to match vocabulary word to determine basal and ceiling.
